Where to find the museum

The museum is at Alnwick Castle in Northumberland; directions to Alnwick Castle are available here. We are located in the Abbot’s Tower in the Castle’s Outer Bailey.

Opening times

11:00 am until 5:00 pm daily from 24th March 2016 to 30th October 2016.

Admission

Entry to the museum is included in the Alnwick Castle admission ticket price. Researchers visiting the museum’s archive only please see Research FAQ’s.

Accessibility

The museum is on three floors of a medieval tower. A temporary ramp can be made available by the museum attendant for wheelchair access to the ground floor. Access to the first and second floors is by a spiral staircase. Please contact us prior to your visit to discuss any specific accessibility needs.

Museum shop

There is a small museum shop with a stock of souvenirs, gifts, books and regimental items.

Food and drink

Available from the Castle's Courtyard Cafe and the Hotspur Restaurant.
