Applications for Aid

All applications for aid should be made through SSAFA or the Royal British Legion who have caseworkers to complete the necessary paperwork and forward it to the Regimental Area Headquarters to be assessed. The Regimental Area Headquarters looks after welfare grants for former soldiers of The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers. They can be contacted at Regimental Headquarters (Northumberland), Fenham Barracks, Barrack Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 4NP. Aid requests for former members of The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers should be made to: RHQ RRF, HM Tower of London, London, EC3N 4AB.

The Fusiliers Officers Club Northumberland

The Fusiliers Officers Club membership is open to all former, regular, TA, ACF and attached officers who have served in the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers or the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. The annual subscription is £10.00. The club holds functions over the St George's Weekend and other times of the year. The Fusiliers Association of Northumberland

Association membership is open to all ranks who have served with or have been attached to the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers or The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers in either the Regular Army, TA or Cadets. Branches are based in Alnwick, Ashington, Berwick upon Tweed, Hexham, Kirton in Lindsey, Newcastle upon Tyne and Sunderland.

There is a Central Holding branch for those who do not live in the area of an existing branch. An Area Newsletter is published annually containing news from all the branches and information about forthcoming events. The Fifth Fusilier Dinner Club

Membership is open to all former officers and attached officers of the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers and their ladies. Invitations are also extended to sons of former officers and officers who served in a TA Battalion of the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers. Annual subscription is £10.00 and you will receive an annual St. George’s Gazette Newsletter. There are two functions organised annually.
