1939-45 Star awarded to Band'm F. Trower (425667) of 2nd Bn, The Northumberland Fusiliers. One of a group of 5 medals. Bandsman Trower joined at 15 years, in 1917, served in 2nd Bn Band until 1948 then 5 years reserve service; 33 years in all. He spent 10 years abroad, Iraq, India and Palestine.
