Engraved 'Presented to H C Griffiths their late librarian in testimony of his esteem and approbation of his conduct by the subscribers to the regimental Library of the 5th Fusiliers 1843' with foliate scrolls around central shield shape with initials 'H.C.G.' hallmarked.
